The game in supposed to be also worth to mention about. Second ranked Taiwan Beer (7-2) played at the court of 7th ranked Bank of Taiwan (1-7). Taiwan Beer smashed Bank of Taiwan 94-73. It looked good early as Bank of Taiwan took a 3-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Taiwan Beer had a 15-11 second period charge getting the lead and Bank of Taiwan was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 73-94. Taiwan Beer made 24-of-30 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Taiwan Beer outrebounded Bank of Taiwan 49-35 including 34 on the defensive glass. Bank of Taiwan was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Central African-American center Patrick O'Bryant (213-86, college: Bradley) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds and international forward Cheng Liu (192-90) who added 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Australian center Luke Nevill (218-86, college: Utah) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds and swingman Hoyo Long (192-88) scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Taiwan Beer maintains second position with 7-2 record behind leader Pure Youth. Bank of Taiwan at the other side stay at the bottom place with seven games lost. Taiwan Beer will play against Dacin Tigers (#5) in the next round. Bank of Taiwan will play against Dacin Tigers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
