Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Bergamo (10-3) outscored on the road 14th ranked Padova (3-10) 81-53 on Sunday. Bergamo dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Padova's 26. Tommaso Milani (190-88) stepped up and scored 15 points and 5 assists for the winners and guard Andrea Scanzi (196-88) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds. Five Bergamo players scored in double figures. Bergamo's coach Cesare Ciocca felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side guard Gabriele Salvato (193-90) responded with 18 points and 5 rebounds and forward Enrico Crosato (194-85) scored 10 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Bergamo. They moved-up to third place in B, which they share with Crema. Padova lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the fourteenth position with ten games lost. Bergamo will face Crema (#4) at home in the next round. Padova will play against Desio (#9) and hope to win that game.
