Regular Season Round 26: Oita H.Devils - Sendai 89ers 74-81

Everything went according to plan when first ranked Sendai 89ers (18-6) won against on the road 11th ranked Oita Heat Devils (5-15) 81-74 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 48-37 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Sendai 89ers outrebounded Oita Heat Devils 56-33 including a 19-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American power forward Jamal Boykin (203-87, college: California) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points, 25 rebounds and 4 assists. The other American import guard Wendell White (198-84, college: UNLV) chipped in a double-double by scoring 24 points, 17 rebounds and 6 assists. Sendai 89ers' coach Shuto Kawachi used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
