Sixteenth-ranked Lille Metropole (3-7) gave a tough game to third ranked JL Bourg (8-2). JL Bourg managed to secure only three-point victory 69-66. However their fans expected much easier game. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 18-12. But Lille Metropole won second period 11-9. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Zachery Peacock (203-87, college: Georgia Tech) who helped to win the game recording 12 points and 7 rebounds. The other American import Brian Asbury (201-86, college: Miami, FL) contributed with 9 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. JL Bourg's coach Christophe Denis allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American guard T.J. Price (193-93, college: W.Kentucky) replied with 21 points and 4 steals and naturalized Burkinabe Jean-Victor Traore (204-85) added 10 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Lille Metropole. JL Bourg have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Boulogne. Lille Metropole lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventeenth position with seven games lost. JL Bourg's next round opponent will be Nantes (#8) on the road where they are favorite. Lille Metropole will play against Chorale de Roanne (#14) and hope to win that game.
