Very significant was Taiwan Beer's (#2, 8-3) victory against 4th placed Fubon Braves (4-6) 90-83. Taiwan Beer trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 31-22 charge, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was Central African-American center Patrick O'Bryant (213-86, college: Bradley) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds. International forward Cheng Liu (192-90) chipped in 24 points and 9 rebounds. Four Taiwan Beer players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Wei-Che Lin (182-92) who recorded a double-double by scoring 24 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists and American center Earl Barron (211-81, college: Memphis) added 21 points and 12 rebounds respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Taiwan Beer maintains second place with 8-3 record behind leader Pure Youth. Fubon Braves lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. Taiwan Beer will meet Yulon Luxgen (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Fubon Braves will play against Bank of Taiwan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
