The game without a history. CD Puerto Varas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. American guard Jay Hook (193-93, college: Tulane) fired 31 points (made all of his seven free throws) for the winners. His fellow American import forward Jonathan Inman (196-87, college: Alabama A&M) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds. Jamaican-American guard Akeem Scott (185-83, college: High Point) produced 23 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international point guard Evandro Arteaga (178-83) added 26 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures.
