Regular Season Round 27: Takamatsu FA - Niigata Albirex 65-76

Very expected game when 9th ranked Takamatsu FA (7-16) lost at home to third ranked Niigata Albirex (16-7) 76-65 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 38-26 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. It was a good game for Jamaican-American power forward Ryan Reid (204-86, college: Florida St., agency: Comsport) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Shuhei Komatsu (185-85) contributed with 19 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four Niigata Albirex players scored in double figures. American forward Jarvis Williams (198-89, college: Minn.St.-Mankato, agency: Interperformances) answered with 20 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import forward Nino Johnson (206-93, college: SE Missouri St.) added 9 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Takamatsu FA. Takamatsu FA's coach Tsuda Hiromichi let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Niigata Albirex have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Akita NH. Loser Takamatsu FA dropped to the tenth position with 16 games lost. Niigata Albirex will have a break next round. Takamatsu FA will play again at home against Niigata Albirex (#3) and hope to win that game.
