Regular Season Round 10: Yulon Luxgen - Taiwan Beer 78-75

The most exciting game of round 10 in the SBL ended with only three-point defeat of their biggest opponent Taiwan Beer (8-4) to third ranked Yulon Luxgen (7-4) 78-75 on Sunday evening. Taiwan Beer was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. They outrebounded Taiwan Beer 55-36 including a 22-11 advantage in offensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Yulon Luxgen made 7 blocks. The former international forward Cheng-Ju Lu (194-86) fired 21 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American center James Tyler (218-88) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds. Tyler is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Central African-American center Patrick O'Bryant (213-86, college: Bradley) produced 19 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and international forward Cheng Liu (192-90) added 17 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Yulon Luxgen maintains third position with 7-4 record having just three points less than leader Pure Youth. Taiwan Beer at the other side keeps the second place with four games lost. Yulon Luxgen are looking forward to face Fubon Braves (#5) in the next round. Taiwan Beer will play against KKL and is hoping to win this game.
