Everything went according to plan when ninth ranked Desio (7-7) won against at home 14th ranked Padova (3-11) 83-71 on Sunday. Desio made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was center Filippo Politi (205-80) who scored 21 points. Forward Edoardo Gallazzi (199-86) chipped in 11 points and 7 rebounds. Five Desio players scored in double figures. Power forward Francesco Tuci (204-92) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds and forward Marco Lazzaro (198-92) added 22 points respectively for the guests. Desio moved-up to eighth place in B. Padova lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fourteenth position with 11 games lost. Desio will face higher ranked Milano Urania (#5) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Padova will play against Pavia (#9) and hope to win that game.
