The game was mostly controlled by Los Leones. Las Animas was better in third quarter 24-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Los Leones forced 21 Las Animas turnovers. The best player for the winners was American Travele Jones (203-88, college: Texas Southern, agency: HMS) who scored 32 points and 6 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Stanley Robinson (206-88, college: Connecticut, agency: HMS) chipped in 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Los Leones players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Terrell Taylor (203-81, college: Virginia Tech, agency: DTMones) who recorded 30 points and 9 rebounds and guard Michael Ernst (187-82) added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
