Regular Season Round 17: EWE Baskets - Walter Tigers 103-72

Very predictable result in Oldenburg where fifth ranked EWE Baskets (12-5) outscored 15th ranked Walter Tigers (4-13) 103-72. The game was mostly controlled by EWE Baskets. Walter Tigers was better in second period 26-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. EWE Baskets made 17-of-21 charity shots (81.0 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 58.3 percentage. EWE Baskets players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists. Slovenian guard Klemen Prepelic (191-92) nailed 23 points for the winning side and American guard Chris Kramer (191-88, college: Purdue) accounted for 12 points and 9 assists. Five EWE Baskets players scored in double figures. The former international center Bogdan Radosavljevic (213-93) came up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and American guard William Buford (196-90, college: Ohio St., agency: Two Points) added 19 points respectively for Walter Tigers in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for EWE Baskets. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Ludwigsburg and Fraport SKY. Walter Tigers lost their seventh game in a row. They dropped to the sixteenth position with 13 games lost. EWE Baskets' next round opponent will be BBC Bayreuth (#12) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Walter Tigers will play against EnBW Ludwigsburg (#6) and hope to win that game.
