Regular Season Round 16: Hanau - Baunach 80-76

There was a minor upset in Hanau where 12th ranked Baunach (6-10) was defeated by fourteenth ranked White Wings (6-10) 80-76. White Wings forced 20 Baunach turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. 27 personal fouls committed by Baunach helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a very good performance for American guard Luke Loucks (196-90, college: Florida St.) who helped to win the game recording 13 points and 5 assists. Forward Robin Christen (202-91) contributed with 9 points and 5 assists for the winners. Slovenian point guard Aleksej Nikolic (190-95) replied with 24 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and point guard Daniel Schmidt (186-90) added 16 points in the effort for Baunach. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. White Wings moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with ETB Wohnbau and Baunach. Baunach lost fourth consecutive game. White Wings' next round opponent will be higher ranked MLP Academics Heidelberg (#8) on the road and it may be quite challenging game.
