The game in Chemnitz supposed to be also worth to mention about. 7th ranked MLP Academics Heidelberg (8-7) played at the court of eighth ranked BV Chemnitz 99 (9-7). BV Chemnitz 99 smashed MLP Academics Heidelberg 82-59. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of MLP Academics Heidelberg. BV Chemnitz 99 players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by MLP Academics Heidelberg's players. It was a very good performance for American point guard Virgil Matthews (188-83, college: Montana, agency: Court Side) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points, 9 rebounds and 12 assists. The other American import forward Greg Logins (203-88, college: Canisius, agency: HMS) contributed with 15 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four BV Chemnitz 99 players scored in double figures. BV Chemnitz 99's coach Rodrigo Pastore felt very confident that he used 10 players saving starting five for next games. American guard Marcos Knight (188-89, college: Middle Tenn.St.) replied with 18 points and 7 rebounds and naturalized Russian forward Albert Kuppe (200-88) added 8 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for MLP Academics Heidelberg. BV Chemnitz 99 moved-up to seventh place. MLP Academics Heidelberg at the other side dropped to the eighth position with seven games lost.
