1Liga top team - Krosno (15-1) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed ninth ranked Astoria Bydg. (7-9) in Bydgoszcz 114-71. Krosno forced 23 Astoria Bydg. turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Astoria Bydg.'s players. 24 personal fouls committed by Astoria Bydg. helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a quality performance of point guard Michal Baran (187-80) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 7 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and Szymon Rduch (196-89, agency: Promotex) who added 17 points and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side Piotr Robak (194-91) responded with 19 points and point guard Pawel Lewandowski (186-83) scored 12 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Krosno have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 15-1 record. Astoria Bydg. at the other side keeps the ninth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Nysa Klodzko. Krosno are looking forward to face Nysa Klodzko (#10) in Kloszko in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Astoria Bydg. will play at home against Znicz Basket and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
