Regular Season Round 13: Alba Chorzow - MCKiS Jaworz. 64-75

Rather expected game when 6th ranked Alba Chorzow (6-7) was defeated at home by third ranked MCKiS Jaworz. (9-4) 75-64 on Sunday. MCKiS Jaworz. dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Alba Chorzow's 22. Swingman Aleksander Lenczuk (193-93) stepped up and scored 24 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and point guard Wojciech Zub (185-95) chipped in 17 points. MCKiS Jaworz.'s coach Marcin Lichtanski used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. At the losing side guard Dawid Weiss (188-88) responded with 13 points and 6 assists and power forward Marcin Weselak (204-79) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for MCKiS Jaworz.. They maintain third place in Group C with 9-4 record having just three points less than leader Kotwica, which they share with AZS PS Gliwice. Loser Alba Chorzow keeps the sixth position with seven games lost. MCKiS Jaworz. will face league's leader Polonia Bytom at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Alba Chorzow will play against AZS PCz (#5) in Czestochowa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
