Regular Season Round 15: Horsens IC - Randers 83-78

Ligaen top team - Horsens IC (15-0) added another victory to their record on Monday. This time they beat sixth ranked Randers (5-11) 83-78. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 26-19. But Randers won second period 25-22. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Horsens IC made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Horsens IC outrebounded Randers 34-20 including a 27-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for Bosnian swingman Vedran Borovcanin (200-85) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. American guard Marquis Addison (193-91, college: Missouri So.) helped adding 19 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American-Belizean point guard Charles Burgess (186-84, college: Texas Tech) with 21 points and 8 rebounds and American power forward Bonell Colas (205-82, college: Florida) scored 19 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Horsens IC have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 15-0 record. Randers lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 11 games lost. Horsens IC are looking forward to face Naestved (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Randers will play against Horsholm and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
