The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Hapoel B/S (10-2) in Beer Sheva on Tuesday night. Hosts were defeated by twelfth ranked Hapoel Kazrin (4-8) 84-75. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Hapoel B/S. Hapoel Kazrin looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for center Nimrod Levi (204-95) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds. American power forward Germain Jordan (198-86, college: Dillard) contributed with 13 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Five Hapoel Kazrin players scored in double figures. American power forward Keith Clanton (205-90, college: Cent.Florida) replied with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 15 rebounds and 4 blocks and his fellow American import guard Paul Marigney (192-82, college: St.Mary's, CA) added 16 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Hapoel B/S. Hapoel Kazrin moved-up to ninth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Hapoel B/S still keeps top position with two games lost. They share it with Galil Gilboa and Hapoel G/A. Hapoel Kazrin is looking forward to face Ironi Ramat Gan (#11) at home in the next round. Hapoel B/S will play against Ironi Kiryat Ata (#4) and is hoping to win this game.
