Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both twelfth ranked Oleggio and 13th ranked Bottegone had identical 5-10 record. But Bottegone was not able to use a home court advantage and was smashed by the opponent from Oleggio 87-62 on Wednesday night. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international power forward Alessandro Paesano (203-93, agency: SPORTlab Agency) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and guard Federico Ferrari (197-75) who added 16 points during the contest. Five Oleggio players scored in double figures. At the losing side power forward Fiorello Toppo (198-80) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 16 rebounds and swingman Stefano Laudoni (195-89) scored 20 points and 8 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Oleggio (6-10) moved-up to eleventh place in B, which they share with Varese Coels. Loser Bottegone dropped to the twelfth position with 11 games lost. Oleggio will face higher ranked Santarcangelo (#5) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Bottegone will play against Piombino (#7) and hope to win that game.
