Regular Season Round 13: SMS PZKosz - Basket Pila 81-89

There was a minor upset in Wladyslawowo where 8th ranked SMS PZKosz (5-8) was defeated by eleventh ranked Basket Pila (3-8) 89-81 on Wednesday. Basket Pila dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to SMS PZKosz's 42. Power forward Maciej Adamkiewicz (199-89) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 16 rebounds for the winners and Kamil Michalski (200-94) chipped in 30 points. At the losing side Rafal Komenda (200-98) responded with 26 points and 9 rebounds (made all of his ten free throws !!!) and guard Michal Kierlewicz (192-97) scored 8 points and 8 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Basket Pila moved-up to ninth place in Group A. SMS PZKosz lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the eighth position with eight games lost. Basket Pila will face higher ranked AZS PGd (#5) in Gdansk in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
