Undefeated leader Marinos delivered the fifth consecutive victory. This time they crushed 7th ranked Gigantes (1-4) 91-62 in Puerto La Cruz. The game without a history. Marinos led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot the lights out from three nailing 15 long-distance shots on high 57.7 percentage. Marinos players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Gigantes' players. Spanish center German Gabriel (207-80) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international forward Jesus Urbina (201-84, college: George Mason) contributed with 18 points and 6 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. The former international forward Axiers Sucre (199-78) answered with 13 points and 8 rebounds and American swingman Omar Reed (200-87, college: Bluefield, agency: Haylett Sports) added 8 points in the effort for Gigantes.
