Regular Season Round 15: Jamtland - Boras 88-91

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Boras Basket (12-6) edged on the road 9th ranked KFUM Jamtland (6-12) 91-88 on Friday. The guests trailed by 10 points after first quarter, but they rallied back winning next two quarters and won the game by 3 points. Boras Basket made 25-of-28 free shots (89.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. KFUM Jamtland was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American point guard Omar Krayem (186-86, college: Cal.Baptist) who scored 19 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. The former international Christian Maraker (207-82, college: Pacific) chipped in 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Corin Henry (180-88, college: Tarleton St., agency: Octagon Europe) who recorded 21 points and 8 assists (went 11 for 11 at the free throw line !!!) and the other American import forward Najee White (203-90, college: Bowie St.) added 18 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Boras Basket maintains third place with 12-6 record despite having the same number of points like the leader Sodertalje. KFUM Jamtland lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 12 games lost. Boras Basket will face league's leader Sodertalje Kings at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. KFUM Jamtland will play against LF Basket (#5) and hope to win that game.
