Regular Season Round 12: Al Sadd - Al Ahli 92-66

D1 top team - Al Sadd (10-1) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed ninth ranked Al Ahli (1-10) in Doha 92-66. The game without a history. Al Sadd led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 62.5 percentage. Al Sadd looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Al Ahli's players. The best player for the winners was international swingman Saad Abdulrahman Ali (193-85) who had a double-double by scoring 29 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. American-Italian point guard Anthony Raffa (185-89, college: Co.Carolina) chipped in a double-double by scoring 24 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists. Al Sadd's coach Zoran Kreckovic felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American-Togolese guard Jimmy Williams (196-86, college: Alders.-Broad.) who recorded 24 points and 7 rebounds and Ndoye Elhadj added 17 points and 11 rebounds respectively. Al Sadd have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 10-1 record, which they share with Al Gharafa. Al Ahli lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom place with ten games lost. Al Sadd's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Doha to the arena Al Arabi.
