Regular Season Round 24: Lietkabelis-2 - Delikatesas 67-80

Rather expected game when 14th ranked Lietkabelis-2 (2-21) lost to eleventh ranked Delikatesas (9-15) in Panevezys 67-80 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Delikatesas. Lietkabelis-2 managed to win third quarter 21-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The winners were led by forward Darius Griskenas (194-84) who scored that evening 32 points and 5 rebounds and power forward Rokas Cepanonis (207-89) supported him with 10 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Even 16 points and 5 rebounds by forward Benas Bagdonavicius (202-91) did not help to save the game for Lietkabelis-2. Guard Simonas Slivka (195-86) added 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Lietkabelis-2's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Delikatesas maintains eleventh position with 9-15 record. Newly promoted Lietkabelis-2 stay dead last with 21 lost games. Delikatesas will meet higher ranked Telsiai (#8) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Lietkabelis-2 will play against Palanga (#5) and hope to secure a win.
