Rather predictable result when Ostersund (2-0) rolled over KFUM Blackeberg (0-1) in Vallingby 86-62 on Saturday. The game without a history. Ostersund led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding KFUM Blackeberg to just 7 points in first quarter. Ostersund shot 27 for 36 from the free-throw line, while KFUM Blackeberg only scored two points from the stripe. They outrebounded KFUM Blackeberg 57-22 including a 18-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. KFUM Blackeberg was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for guard Stefan Zivkovic (185-93) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 7 rebounds. Center Mattias Markusson (217-96) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Four Ostersund players scored in double figures. Ramon Habtezghi answered with 13 points and guard Daniel Muresu (185-95, college: North Park) added 9 points in the effort for KFUM Blackeberg. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Ostersund will face Orongo Dragons (#3) in Sundsvall in the next round, which may be the game of the day. KFUM Blackeberg will play on the road against KFUM Fryshuset in Stockholm and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
