Regular Season Round 16: Nancy - Le Mans 69-77

Very expected game when 15th ranked Sluc Nancy (4-11) was defeated at home by third ranked Le Mans (12-4) 77-69. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 20-17. But Sluc Nancy won second period 18-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Americans were the main players on the court. The winners were led by point guard Tywain McKee (188-86, college: Coppin St.) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 assists and Romeo Travis (201-84, college: Akron) supported him with 14 points. Even a double-double of 10 points and 14 rebounds by power forward Randal Falker (201-85, college: S.Illinois) did not help to save the game for Sluc Nancy. Forward Andy Panko (203-77, college: Lebanon Valley, agency: Beo Basket) added 15 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Le Mans have an impressive five-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with 3 other teams. Sluc Nancy lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixteenth place with 11 games lost. Le Mans will play against Cholet Basket (#15) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Sluc Nancy will play against Paris-Levallois and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
