Regular Season Round 13: PVSK Pannon - Jaszberenyi 94-73

Not a big story in a game when 14th ranked Jaszberenyi (1-12) was outscored by eighth ranked PVSK Pannon (6-7) in Pecs 94-73. The game without a history. PVSK Pannon led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a great shooting night for PVSK Pannon especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. American point guard Will Walker (183-87, college: De Paul, agency: HMS) stepped up and scored 19 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and naturalized Serbian guard Marko Popadic (189-89) chipped in 23 points and 4 assists. PVSK Pannon's coach Ferenc Csirke felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American center Garrick Sherman (210-90, college: Notre Dame) responded with 14 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import point guard Mike Caffey (183, college: Long Beach St.) scored 15 points and 5 assists. Four PVSK Pannon and five Jaszberenyi players scored in double figures. PVSK Pannon maintains eighth place with 6-7 record. Jaszberenyi lost eleventh consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 12 games lost. PVSK Pannon will play against higher ranked Sopron KC (#7) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Jaszberenyi will play against the league's second-placed Szolnok (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
