Not a big story in a game when 12th ranked Bolzano (4-10) was rolled over on the road by fourth ranked Vicenza (9-5) 79-42 on Saturday. The game without a history. Vicenza led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Bolzano's 30 and made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Vicenza forced 25 Bolzano turnovers and outrebounded them 42-27 including a 21-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. The former international forward Emanuela Ramon (187-82) had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and center Lorenza Prospero (182-94) chipped in 10 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Four Vicenza players scored in double figures. Guard Elena Zambarda (180-87) responded with 11 points and 5 rebounds and Polish-French center Karolina Piotrkiewicz (190-84, college: Liberty) scored 4 points and 12 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Vicenza maintains fourth position in A2 with 9-5 record. Newly promoted Bolzano keeps the twelfth place with ten games lost. Vicenza will face Carugate (#11) in Corugate in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bolzano will play at home against Pordenone and hope to win that game.
