Very predictable result when fourth ranked Grupo Inec Z. (6-2) outscored on the road 9th ranked Betanzos (1-7) 88-64 on Sunday. The game without a history. Grupo Inec Z. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 25-of-30 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Grupo Inec Z. forced 22 Betanzos turnovers. Betanzos was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Chris Hansen (193, college: Idaho St.) fired 21 points for the winners. His fellow American import guard Isaiah Tate (192-89, college: George Mason) chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds. Center Marcos Rozas (202-83) produced 15 points and 5 rebounds and Jose Miguel Perez (202-96) added 9 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Grupo Inec Z.. They moved-up to second place in Group A-B, which they share with Mieres BVM. Betanzos lost their sixth game in a row. They dropped to the tenth position with seven games lost. Grupo Inec Z. will face Estudiantes L. (#12) in Lugo in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Betanzos will play on the road against Gijon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
