Regular Season Round 14: Asseco II - Kotwica 71-82

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Gdynia. First ranked Kotwica faced one of their biggest challengers Asseco II. Guests from Kolobrzeg (13-1) defeated host Asseco II (11-3) 82-71. Kotwica dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Asseco II's 26. The best player for the winners was point guard Dawid Mieczkowski (188-89, agency: Promotex) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists. Forward Pawel Pawlowski (196-82) chipped in 18 points and 8 rebounds. Center Lukasz Frackiewicz (205-96) produced 8 points and 10 rebounds and power forward Michal Kolodziej (199-97) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Asseco II's coach Sebastjan Krasevec rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Kotwica have an impressive 13-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group A with 13-1 record. Loser Asseco II dropped to the second place with three games lost. Kotwica will face Basket Pila (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Asseco II will play against Trefl II Sopot (#9) and hope to win that game.
