Regular Season Round 12: St Quentin - Poitiers 65-73

No shocking result in a game when twelfth ranked Poitiers (6-6) beat on the road 15th ranked Saint-Quentin (4-8) 73-65 on Tuesday. Saint-Quentin trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 22-19 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 65-73 at the end of the game. It was a good game for American point guard Darrin Dorsey (188, college: Dakota Wesleyan) who led his team to a victory with 30 points and 6 rebounds. Naturalized Guyanese Mike Joseph (203-94) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. American Darnell Williams (202-78, college: San Jose St., agency: David Lee services) replied with 11 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import swingman Ryan Evans (203-90, college: Wisconsin) added 6 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Saint-Quentin. Poitiers have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Provence Basket and Boulazac. Loser Saint-Quentin dropped to the sixteenth position with eight games lost. Poitiers will face league's leader Hyeres-Toulon at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Saint-Quentin will play against Saint Chamond (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
