Rather predictable result in Rosh Pina where third ranked Galil Gilboa (11-2) defeated 7th ranked Elitzur Yavne (5-8) 98-84 on Tuesday. Galil Gilboa made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Galil Gilboa especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Elitzur Yavne's players. American forward Demetrius Treadwell (201-91, college: Akron) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and his fellow American import Jason Siggers (194-85, college: Albany) chipped in 23 points. At the losing side Yaniv Solomon (-94) responded with 27 points and 5 steals and American forward J'Nathan Bullock (196-87, college: Cleveland St.) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Galil Gilboa have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Hapoel G/A. Elitzur Yavne lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with eight games lost. Galil Gilboa will face Hasharon (#11) in Hod Hasharon in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Elitzur Yavne will play on the road against Hap.R/G Givat. (#7) in Givataim and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
