Regular Season Round 15: Kotwica - Basket Pila 79-51

2Liga top team - Kotwica (14-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eleventh ranked Basket Pila (3-10) in Kolobrzeg 79-51. Kotwica dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Basket Pila's 22. They outrebounded Basket Pila 53-30 including a 37-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Kotwica players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. The best player for the winners was Marcin Chudy (187-86) who scored 12 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Forward Pawel Pawlowski (196-82) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds. Four Kotwica players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Kamil Michalski (200-94) who recorded 15 points and 8 rebounds and power forward Maciej Adamkiewicz (199-89) added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Kotwica have an impressive series of fourteen victories in a row. They maintain first place in Group A with 14-1 record. Basket Pila at the other side keeps the eleventh position with ten games lost. Kotwica's next round opponent will be league's second-placed AZS UMK Torun on the road and it will be for sure the game of the week. Basket Pila will play against Asseco II (#3) and hope to win that game.
