The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Quintanar as it allowed them to take a leadership position in Group B. Quintanar defeated 8th ranked Alcobendas at home 77-73. Alcobendas was ahead by 5 points after three quarters before a 25-16 charge of Quintanar, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Alcobendas' 28. They outrebounded Alcobendas 41-25 including 31 on the defensive glass. Center Artur Alaminos (205-91) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 8 rebounds. Chadian center Placide Nakidjim (205-94) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Quintanar's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Center Jose Maria Gil (207-91) replied with 24 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Carlos Arjonilla (178-78) added 16 points in the effort for Alcobendas. Five Quintanar and four Alcobendas players scored in double figures. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Alcobendas lost third consecutive game.
