Regular Season Round 31: Yokohama BC - Iwate Big Bulls 64-88

There was a minor upset when 6th ranked Yokohama BC (13-14) was outplayed at home by eighth ranked Iwate Big Bulls (12-13) 88-64 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Iwate Big Bulls. Yokohama BC was better in third quarter 20-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Yokohama BC to just 7 points in fourth quarter. It was a great evening for American forward Alandise Harris (198-90, college: Arkansas) who led his team to a victory scoring 28 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Fujie Tatsunori (184-87) helped adding 16 points and 5 assists. Four Iwate Big Bulls players scored in double figures. At the losing side Panamanian-American forward Jordan Henriquez (214-89, college: Kansas St.) responded with 15 points and 8 rebounds and American forward Cory Johnson (200-88, college: Valparaiso) scored 11 points and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Iwate Big Bulls maintains eighth place with 12-13 record. Yokohama BC lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the sixth position with 14 games lost. Iwate Big Bulls will have a break next round.
