Regular Season Round 15: AZS PS Gliwice - MKS DG 2 79-73

Not a big story in a game when bottom-ranked MKS DG 2 (0-15) lost on the road to fourth ranked AZS PS Gliwice (10-5) 79-73 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. AZS PS Gliwice forced 27 MKS DG 2 turnovers. MKS DG 2 was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for guard Maciej Wasowicz (182-92) who led his team to a victory with 21 points. Swingman Daniel Pelka (193-80) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Jakub Wantuch (195-98) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and center Adam Niespor (200-99) added 10 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for MKS DG 2. Four MKS DG 2 players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted AZS PS Gliwice maintains fourth place in Group C with 10-5 record. MKS DG 2 lost their fifteenth game in a row. They still close the standings with 15 games lost. AZS PS Gliwice will face Zaglebie (#9) in Sosnowiec in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. MKS DG 2 will play at home against Wisla Krakow and hopes to get finally their first victory.
