Regular Season Round 27: Rieker KN - Nova Ves 89-53

Bottom-ranked Nova Ves is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their 24th consecutive match to fourth ranked Rieker KN (16-7) 89-53. The game without a history. Rieker KN led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Nova Ves' 34 and made 20-of-26 charity shots (76.9 percent) during the game, while Nova Ves only scored four points from the stripe. Rieker KN forced 24 Nova Ves turnovers and outrebounded them 56-32 including a 25-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for Nigerian-American forward P.J. Alawoya (203-88, college: McNeese St., agency: Inception Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds. American guard Bernard Thompson (190-93, college: FGCU) helped adding 13 points and 12 rebounds. Alawoya is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Rieker KN players scored in double figures. Rieker KN's coach dragan Ristanovic felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was center Michal Dolnik (203-95) with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds and swingman Adam Antoni (191-95) scored 14 points and 4 steals. Rieker KN have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion maintains fourth place with 16-7 record. Nova Ves at the other side still closes the standings. Rieker KN will play against league's leader Prievidza at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Nova Ves will play against Esprit Kosice (#5) and hope to get finally their first victory.
