There was a minor upset when 8th ranked BV Chemnitz 99 (9-9) lost to tenth ranked Gladiators (10-9) in Trier 84-91. Gladiators forced 20 BV Chemnitz 99 turnovers. 25 personal fouls committed by BV Chemnitz 99 helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American forward Dwayne Evans (198-92, college: St.Louis) who scored 24 points and 6 rebounds. Ghanian-American guard Kwadzo Ahelegbe (188-88, college: N.Iowa) chipped in 15 points and 5 assists.
