The game in Svit was also quite interesting. Third ranked Levice (17-7) played at the court of 6th ranked Iskra Svit (7-17). Levice defeated Iskra Svit 72-62 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Levice. Iskra Svit managed to win second period 23-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Iskra Svit to just 7 points in first quarter. Levice forced 19 Iskra Svit turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for Serbian power forward Nemanja Miljkovic (204-90) who led the winners and scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. The former international guard Milan Ziak (190-88) accounted for 16 points for the winning side. Filipino point guard Isiah Umipig (183-92, college: Seattle) came up with 26 points and Serbian power forward Slobodan Bozovic (207-79) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Iskra Svit in the defeat. Iskra Svit's coach Rudolf Jugo rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Levice maintains third place with 17-7 record having just three points less than leader Prievidza. Loser Iskra Svit keeps the sixth position with 17 games lost. Levice will meet Nitra (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Iskra Svit will play against the league's second-placed Inter Bratislava and hope to secure a win.
