Regular Season Round 15: MCKiS Jaworz. - Pogon RS 72-68

Everything went according to plan when third ranked MCKiS Jaworz. (11-4) defeated 8th ranked Pogon RS (7-8) in Jaworzno 72-68 on Saturday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. MCKiS Jaworz. forced 26 Pogon RS turnovers. It was a good game for power forward Daniel Goldammer (200-89) who led his team to a victory with 13 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Dawid Grochowski (190-89) contributed with 14 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Center Tomasz Stankala (202-91) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds and point guard Pawel Mol (180-87) added 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Pogon RS. Pogon RS's coach Boguslaw Mol let to play ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for MCKiS Jaworz.. They maintain third place in Group C with 11-4 record having just three points less than leader Kotwica. Loser Pogon RS dropped to the sixth position with eight games lost. MCKiS Jaworz. will face AZS PCz (#5) in Czestochowa in the next round. Pogon RS will play at home against Cieszyn and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
