Regular Season Round 31: Takamatsu FA - Kyoto Hannar. 81-88

BJ League top team - Kyoto Hannar. (20-5) added another victory to their record. This time they beat tenth ranked Takamatsu FA (8-17) 88-81. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 28-18. But Takamatsu FA won second period 19-11. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Kyoto Hannar. brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. The game was dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Kevin Kotzur (203-89, college: St.Mary's, TX) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points, 19 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Tyren Johnson (202-88, college: La-Lafayette) contributed with 19 points, 9 rebounds and 5 blocks for the winners. Kyoto Hannar.'s coach Honoo Hamaguchi allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Forward Nino Johnson (206-93, college: SE Missouri St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and forward Jarvis Williams (198-89, college: Minn.St.-Mankato, agency: Interperformances) added 20 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Takamatsu FA. Four Takamatsu FA players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Kyoto Hannar.. They maintain first place with 20-5 record. Takamatsu FA at the other side keeps the tenth position with 17 games lost. Kyoto Hannar. will have a break next round. Takamatsu FA will play again at home against the league's leader Kyoto Hannar. (#1) and hope to win that game.
