Regular Season Round 32: Yokohama BC - Iwate Big Bulls 75-67

Rather expected game when 8th ranked Iwate Big Bulls (12-14) were defeated on the road by sixth ranked Yokohama BC (14-14) 75-67 on Sunday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 22-17. But Iwate Big Bulls won second period 21-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was Panamanian-American forward Jordan Henriquez (214-89, college: Kansas St.) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 19 rebounds. American forward Cory Johnson (200-88, college: Valparaiso) chipped in 15 points. American forward Alandise Harris (198-90, college: Arkansas) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Patrick Sanders (201-85, college: Cal-Irvine, agency: Interperformances) added 15 points and 11 rebounds respectively for the guests. Iwate Big Bulls' coach Geoffrey Katsuhisa rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Yokohama BC maintains sixth position with 14-14 record, which they share with Gunma. Loser Iwate Big Bulls keep the eighth place with 14 games lost. Yokohama BC will face Saitama Broncos (#11) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Iwate Big Bulls will play against Aomori Watts and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
