Regular Season Round 15: Polonia Bytom - AZS PCz 95-65

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Polonia Bytom as it allowed them to take a leadership position in Group C. Polonia Bytom smashed 5th ranked AZS PCz at home 95-65. Polonia Bytom forced 26 AZS PCz turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by AZS PCz's players. It was a good game for Rafal Sebrala (194-87) who led his team to a victory with 24 points and 5 assists (perfect behind the arc making all seven shots !!!). Emil Podkowinski (194-88) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Four Polonia Bytom players scored in double figures. Forward Tomasz Nogalski (192-79) answered with 21 points and 6 rebounds and swingman Mateusz Gazarkiewicz (193-91) added 18 points and 5 assists in the effort for AZS PCz. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with AZS AGH Alstom. AZS PCz at the other side keeps the fifth place with seven games lost. AZS PCz will play next round against strong MCKiS Jaworz. trying to get back on the winning streak. Polonia Bytom will try to continue on its current victory against tenth ranked AZS AWF M. II in Katowice.
