Regular Season Round 16: MKS DG - Polfarmex KT 76-86

There was no surprise when 9th ranked MKS Dabrowa Gornicza (8-9) was defeated at home by seventh ranked AZS Polfarmex (10-7) 86-76 on Monday. The guests trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 86-76. Canadian center Michael Fraser (203-84, college: Oklah.Baptist) fired 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Kevin Johnson (201-84, college: Humboldt St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. Five AZS Polfarmex players scored in double figures. American-Samoan point guard Rashaun Broadus (180-84, college: BYU, agency: Octagon Europe) produced 26 points and 4 assists and American power forward Sam Dower (206-90, college: Gonzaga) added 17 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. AZS Polfarmex maintains seventh position with 10-7 record. Loser MKS Dabrowa Gornicza keeps the ninth place with nine games lost. AZS Polfarmex will face higher ranked Asseco (#6) in Gdynia in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. MKS Dabrowa Gornicza will play on the road against Twarde Pierniki in Torun and hope to win that game.
