Regular Season Round 14: Ramat Hasharon - Hap.Petah Tikva 76-61

There was no surprise when 8th ranked Hap.Petah Tikva (2-12) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Ramat Hasharon (10-4) 76-61 on Monday. Ramat Hasharon looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American Emma Cannon (187-89, college: Cent.Florida, agency: LBM Management) had a double-double by scoring 14 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Alyssa Baron (178-92, college: Pennsylvania) chipped in 23 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Ramat Hasharon players scored in double figures. Ramat Hasharon's coach Edny Dagan used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Brittany Brink (-93) responded with 23 points and 5 rebounds and American forward Jenny Smith (185, college: Bradley) scored 18 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Ramat Hasharon moved-up to second place, which they share with Maccabi Ashdod and Bnot Hertzeliya. Hap.Petah Tikva lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 12 games lost. They share it with Elitzur Holon. Ramat Hasharon will again meet at home bottom-ranked Hap.Petah Tikva (#8) in the next round where they are favorite. Hap.Petah Tikva will have a break next round.
