Regular Season Round 14: Ramat Hasharon - Hapoel B/S 80-78

A very interesting game took place in Ramat Hasharon. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of higher ranked Hapoel B/S (10-4) to ninth ranked Hasharon (6-8) 80-78 on Tuesday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. The game was dominated by American players. Forward Billy McShepard (208-87, college: Valdosta St., agency: Blacktop Management) notched a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds to lead the effort and forward Lorenzo Gordon (201-83, college: Oklahoma City) supported him with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Four Hasharon players scored in double figures. Hasharon's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 32 points and 4 assists (perfect from downtown making all seven shots !!!) by guard Paul Marigney (192-82, college: St.Mary's, CA) did not help to save the game for Hapoel B/S. Power forward Keith Clanton (205-90, college: Cent.Florida) added 14 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists for the guests. They have an impressive five-game winning streak. Hasharon moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Hapoel B/S lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the third position with four games lost. Hasharon's next round opponent will be Ironi Ramat Gan (#8) on the road. Hapoel B/S will play against Hapoel Kfar Saba (#7) and hope to win that game.
