Regular Season Round 16: Bank of Taiwan - Pure Youth 80-78

Top ranked Pure Youth (14-5) recorded its fifth loss against sixth ranked Bank of Taiwan on Thursday night. Bank of Taiwan were edged by Bank of Taiwan 80-78. Bank of Taiwan trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 80-78. Australian center Luke Nevill (218-86, college: Utah) fired a double-double by scoring 10 points, 20 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. The former international forward Shun-Hsiang Chen (190-85) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. Four Bank of Taiwan players scored in double figures. American power forward Darian Townes (208-84) produced 9 points and 15 rebounds and the former international swingman Ching-Pang Lin (190-85) added 7 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Pure Youth's coach Ban-Da Mai tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Bank of Taiwan maintains sixth position with 7-11 record. Defending champion Pure Youth still keeps top place with five games lost. Bank of Taiwan are looking forward to face higher ranked Yulon Luxgen (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Pure Youth will play against KKL and is hoping to win this game.
