Regular Season Round 17: LF Basket - Boras 111-88

The game in Lulea supposed to be also worth to mention about. 4th placed Boras Basket (12-8) played at the court of fifth ranked LF Basket (12-9). LF Basket smashed Boras Basket 111-88. It looked good early as Boras Basket took a 3-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then LF Basket had a 29-21 second period charge getting the lead and Boras Basket was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 88-111. LF Basket players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Boras Basket's players. Bahamas forward Jaraun Burrows (203-85, college: IPFW) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and Croatian guard Toni Prostran (182-91) chipped in 16 points and 10 assists. Five LF Basket players scored in double figures. The former international Christian Maraker (207-82, college: Pacific) responded with 26 points and 8 rebounds and Ronald Boggs scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for LF Basket. They maintain fifth place with 12-9 record. Boras Basket at the other side keeps the fourth position with eight games lost. LF Basket will play against Malbas (#8) in Malmo in the next round. Boras Basket will play at home against the league's second-placed Norrkoping Dolphins (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
