Regular Season Round 15: Prinemanye - Vitebsk 63-87

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Grodno. Vitebsk faced Prinemanye. Guests from Vitebsk (7-7) smashed host Prinemanye (3-11) 87-63. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Vitebsk's pressure prevailed and they won that period 34-14 extending their advantage to 24 points. They also forced 19 Prinemanye turnovers and outrebounded them 46-30 including 16 on the offensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for forward Victor Ovsepyan (204-91) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 32 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals. Forward Marsel Ovsepian (202-90) accounted for 16 points and 15 rebounds for the winning side. Four Vitebsk players scored in double figures. Forward Dmitriy Chumakov (-93) came up with 16 points and 6 rebounds and swingman Dmitriy Kuratnik (192-97) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Prinemanye in the defeat. Prinemanye's coach already knew that his team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Despite that victory Vitebsk went down to third position due to points difference. Prinemanye lost their third game in a row. They still keep top place with 11 games lost.
