Regular Season Round 14: Hokkaido L. - Tochigi Brex 65-77

Leader Tochigi Brex delivered the twentieth victory. This time they beat 6th ranked Hokkaido L. (13-13) 77-65 in Saporro. The game was mostly controlled by Tochigi Brex. Hokkaido L. was better in fourth quarter 21-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American power forward Ryan Rossiter (204-89, college: Siena) notched 25 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international swingman Takatoshi Furukawa (190-87) supported him with 22 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Furukawa is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Tochigi Brex's coach Thomas Wisman used entire bench and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Even 23 points and 5 rebounds by American forward Jerome Tillman (201-87, college: Ohio, agency: Inception Sports) did not help to save the game for Hokkaido L.. His fellow American import forward Jahmar Thorpe (198-84, college: Houston) added 9 points and 5 rebounds for the hosts. Despite that victory Tochigi Brex went down to second position due to points difference. Hokkaido L. at the other side keeps the sixth place with 13 games lost. Tochigi Brex's next round opponent will be Nishinomiya S. (#11) in Hyogo and are hoping to win another game. Hokkaido L. will play on the road against the league's leader Toyota Alvark (#1) in Tokyo and hope to win that game.
