Very predictable result in Thessaloniki where fourth ranked Aris (10-5) smashed 13th ranked Arkadikos (3-12) 86-52 on Saturday. The game without a history. Aris led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 20 Arkadikos turnovers. It was a great evening for American point guard Dominic Waters (185-86, college: Portland St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points (perfect from the field making all six shots). His fellow American import forward Okaro White (206-92, college: Florida St., agency: Comsport) helped adding 14 points and 5 rebounds. Four Aris players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international center Vasileios Kavvadas (204-91) with 19 points and 7 rebounds and Dutch-British guard Devon Van Oostrum (190-93, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 7 points and 5 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Aris maintains fourth place with 10-5 record. Arkadikos lost their sixth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the thirteenth position with 12 games lost. Aris' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Thessaloniki to the arena PAOK.
